RS2H3 2000th Run

Macau

Macau

This month the Royal South Side becomes the fourth HK hash to reach the milestone of 2000 runs. To recognise this occasion there will be a celebration weekend on 24-26 June 2011, being arranged by some of the Southsides more distinguished [so they say] gentlemen. The festivities will be taking place in Macau, a sort of mini tour if you will.  (Or even if you won’t.)

The main event, the “2000th Run” will be on Saturday 25 June and open to all. The run will start at 4pm and be an A to A from the Pousada de Coloane. The trail will be laid by ET and Dribble (and perhaps a Co-hare).  Taipa Macau and Shekou hashes will be in attendance.

Hash cash for the day, to include run, drinks, stash & bash will be HK$400.  ($250 if stash or bash omitted. $60/$30 Hasher/Harriette for run only. Kids (>11 years old) are $180 for run and bash, $20 run only.)  Note: The bash will take place at the Pousada and drinks at the bash will be on a ‘pay as you go’ basis.

If you would like to go over the night before, there will be a “Gentlemen’s Only” Friday night Pub Crawl. Meet at the Irish Bar 7:30-8:00pm followed by a light dinner at a conveniently located restaurant followed by Pub Crawl (itinerary to be established).  This will be on a “pay as you go” basis, though a central kitty may be established for the earlier part of the evening.

Pousada De Coloane

And if you stay for the whole weekend, on Sunday morning there will be a “2001 Recovery Run” to probably start from the beach in front of the Pousada de Coloane. Circle on the beach in front of the hotel with lunch possibly at the restaurant on the beach or at Fernando’s (to be decided on the day). Sunday will again be on a ‘pay as you go’ basis.

See you there!

Update – Accommodation: There are currently no rooms left at the Pousada.  We don’t have special arrangements with other hotels but would suggest you go to www.macautouristguide.com and follow the links to accommodation, hotels.  A complete list of hotels is available from 5-Star down to 2-Star.  One can get to the Pousada de Coloane on Coloane Island in under 30 minutes by taxi from just about anywhere in Macau – here’s the map:
